For JPL ViNISO patches, the ID is shown like this: [JPL]-[Patch #][Collection Code]-[Title]-[Fan Disc][Fan Disc #]-[Patch Type][Patch Collection #]-[Archived]
Note: Not all attributes above are shown by default.
Attribute Legend:
- [JPL]: By default the patch is for Japanese localized VNs only; however, if it’s compatible with other languages/localizations the attribute will change to [MULTI] (commonly seen with Steam versions of VNs).
- [Patch #]: The number assigned for a patch listed in the catalogue; this is indicated by a number (1, 2, 3, etc.)
- [Collection Code]: Present if there are related content (VNs and/or fan discs) for a VN listed in the catalogue; this is indicated by a letter (a, b, c, etc.); the parent VN title will be designated the code “a” by default if there are related content present and if there are no related content present or if related content are pre-bundled with the parent VN set, this attribute isn’t added.
- [Title]: The name of the VN listed in the catalogue, shortened to three characters.
- [Fan Disc]: Indicates if the VN is a fan disc; this is indicated by the code “FD” respectively; if the fan disc is pre-bundled with the parent VN set, this attribute isn’t added.
- [Fan Disc #]: Present if there are multiple fan discs for a VN listed in the catalogue; this is indicated by a number (1, 2, 3, etc.); if the fan discs are pre-bundled with the parent VN set, this attribute isn’t added.
- [Patch Type]: Indicates the type of patch listed for a VN in the catalogue, which include (but are not limited to):
- [RESPATCH]: Content restoration patches that restore cut content and/or features (those only found in the original version) to any other version of a VN (primarily Steam and DRM-free ENL/JPL versions).
- [EXTPATCH]: Miscellaneous patches (typically quality of life/QoL patches) that add or remove features, and modify the VN (either its assets or code) to improve visual/auditory aesthetics, or fix bugs, errors and typos; these patches include (but are not limited to):

- […COMP]: These are complete English translations (TL) that have been fully gone through both translation checks (TLC) and editing (ED).

- [Patch Collection #]: Present if there are multiple patches of the same type for a VN listed in the catalogue; this is indicated by a number (1, 2, 3, etc.)
- [Archived]: Present if the patch is no longer available from any link provided or sourced by VNDB, the VN/patch publisher, and/or other sites however, a full backup of the patch is stored in the Yggdrasil Server; this is indicated by the code “ARC” with download links to the patch being crossed out and disabled to indicate that they’re defunct (eg. Download Link to Patch); note that if the patch is still available and a full backup of the patch is saved in the Yggdrasil Server, this attribute isn’t added.
